No Joke! Three Cheers for the Pleasures of Smoking

Three cheers for the pleasures of smoking
You’ve most definitely got to be joking
A second hand drag on an unwanted fag
My face in your cumulus clouds of smoke
WHEEZE, GASP, RASP, CHOKE
Grizzly pictures hideously evoked
Of my favourite Uncle
RON
Coughing, spluttering
Lungs long
GONE
‘It’s my last. I’ll quit.’
He said as he lit
ANOTHER
The clock ticked
TICK TICK TICK
Maybe he’s far too thick
(In a nice way)
To realise what he’s doing to his health
DOING
Did I meant
Cos he’s gone,
HE WENT
Up in a puff of
SMOKE
Like I said

NO JOKE!
