This Poem….

This Poem
This poem is dangerous: it should not be left
Within the reach of children, or even of adults
Who might swallow it whole, with possibly
Undesirable side-effects. If you come across
An unattended, unidentified poem
In a public place, do not attempt to tackle it
Yourself. Send it (preferably, in a sealed container)
To the nearest centre of learning, where it will be rendered
Harmless, by experts. Even the simplest poem
May destroy your immunity to human emotions.
All poems must carry a Government warning. Words
Can seriously affect your heart.

  1. I love the way the author has used the metaphor of dangerous chemicals / poison in relation to poetry – you guys are full of ideas 🙂

By the way are you doing anything at IATEFL in Glasgow this year?

    All the best
    Richard

  2. Mr. G. says:

I want to be infected brothers!

  3. Mr. G. says:

I’m here as usual bro, but a bit busy nowadays. As usual I’m coming and going to work, read, write, play, drink, hang around; nothing new shortly. And of course following your blog, passionately 😛
