Ela Moorcroft – Natural born teacher?

This video clip of John’s 8-year-old daughter telling a story has all the elements of a good ELT activity. Without any prompting from dad, who wasn’t even there, Ela:
– pre-teaches key vocabulary, using realia (“this is a watermelon, except it’s not really, it’s a ball that looks like one”),
– presents a text, ( “one day we bought a watermelon. When we put it on the front seat of the car it was so heavy that is set off the seatbelt warning. So we had to drive home with it wearing a seatbelt. Which was really funny”),
– and sets a follow-up task (“do you have any funny stories about watermelons”).

If you do have such a story we’d love to hear it!!!
